Fred and Winona Davies have lived in their Passive Solar home that they designed for 6 years. It is their first attempt and not every thing was done perfectly but the principles still work. The comfort of a home with no A/C and no furnace is remarkable. The home maintains it's own temperature. It is heated mostly by the sun, and cooled mostly by the earth. Temperatures maintain at 68 when it is 10 degrees outside in the winter. And in the summer when outside is 110 the inside is 74-78 degrees. Utility bills are very low.
